Thanks Ebay... you really care about sellers (rolling eyes).
I have a basic store, I sell handbags with a 100% positive feedback, I was happy with my couple sales a week and now thanks to all the IMPROVEMENTS done by Ebay, I am ready to lose my status (not that I care about titles and badges), because I no longer sell enough to meet the requirement.
I know... all my fault (of course).
Have I become lazy, not doing my research, changing pictures, modifying prices accordingly to be competitive? I believe I have been on top of things, BUT I have not jumped through ALL the hoops that Ebay wants me to, I am not offering free returns, I am not lowering my prices to almost free to make a sale, I am not accepting $20 offers on an item that is over $100, I am ending my listings when I want to, not the GTC **bleep**!
So you stick to the dot or you are left to rot? In all these years I have learned the patterns of when sales were better at a time, worse at others. This is different.
Sorry I am just venting, my apologies. But honestly all these... "we care about sellers and want to help you", is just a bunch of horse manure!

Many of us are down - it's OK to vent but I have to tell you - I have free shipping, free returns, offer world wide shipping, am enrolled in guaranteed delivery and promote all my listings. I should be selling almost everything I list if the algorithm only focused on what hoops we have to jump through - instead sales are down 50%.
Ebay changes their algorithms so frequently - I don't even think they remember what they are.

Since mid-April (when the first "required" GTC listings renewed), you have had six sales in 20 days.
That is almost exactly "a couple sales a week".

lucky, nowhere did OP say that she hadn't had sales; she said she was no longer going to meet TRS requirements.
That could be due to volume or dollar amounts and since we can't see OP's last 12 months of sales, we can't pick apart her statement(s).
I don't have enough information to give a passive aggressive response so I'll just accept her post as a vent.

It's not what ebay says but what ebay does that matters.
What ebay does either works or doesn't work for you.

Correct - and nowhere did I say that the OP was complaining about not getting sales.
The OP said he/she was happy with a couple sales a week.
I simply pointed out that since GTC took full effect, the OP appeared to be back to that "happy" level of sales.

This post was just a way to share my state of mind regarding my Ebay selling experience, no need to engage in conversation, but I am glad I came back to read if anyone cared, I learned a lesson....
To be extremely "precise" on my wording.
So I will rephrase.... I was happy with just a handful of weekly sales, not a couple that obviously means 2. My bad.
So no... I am not happy with my 1 or 2 (or nothing this week) sales. Found a new place to list, and considering another. Ebay will get the loyalty that is showing to the long time sellers.

I've been using GTC since its inception and because of what I sell (multiple as in unlimited stock), I love it. I don't have to constantly relist items and they keep their history. That having been said, I get it... GTC doesn't benefit everyone, but I don't think it deters anyone either. My sales have also been slipping hugely recently to the point I was getting very nervous... this is how I support myself. And while I'm a believer that one shouldn't put all their eggs in one basket and post on numerous venues including my own website, eBay has the greatest volume of sales.
Here's some of the things I've been doing and I am seeing positive results:
I RAISED my prices by about 12% and then run frequent 10% off Flash sales
I ended "dog" listings, and then relisted using sell similar to erase any doggy history.
I make certain to add additional new listings every few days.
In spite of getting 2 unremoveable negatives in the last 60 days, sales have been improving... FYI, I haven't had a unremoveable negative in YEARS.
Pictures or it didn't happen, so here it is:
