TESTS, UPDATES, NEW TOOLS = Ebay account managers

If eBay is going to implement all of these features such as Promoted Display, Offsite Ads, Promoted Listings Advanced and Standard and whatever else they change on a weekly basis, they could at least have a team of account managers that store owners can consult to get suggestions on how to use all of these tools. For example, Promoted Listings Advanced seems to be what their pushing the most as they advertise 50% more sales if you use it. Well, it keeps changing. Keywords, exact or phrase and now BROAD. It really is getting complicated when compared to the sellers that come on here and can barely understand some of the basic tools for selling. I don't mind paying eBay their extortion fees if they can advise how to use some of these awful inventions. How much should I bid on this negative keyword? Come on! I am going to edit these campaigns until they burn out some servers.

It is a seller's CHOICE as to whether to use Promoted Listings or not and to set the additional FVF for these listings.  For members to keep blaming Ebay for their so called high fees is simply misleading.  In PL the SELLER Chooses what additional fees they are willing to pay for the sale.

PL are not a new thing.  Ebay has had them since 2015.  In the last 2 years or so Ebay has really been pushing them.  And they do work well in some categories and not so much in others.  Ebay seller has to decide whether or not to use it on their own.

PL Advanced is more complicated, you are absolutely correct.  Before walking this road, make sure you understand it as your rates can automatically rise and there are click through fees too.  As a small seller this tool is not something I would ever consider using.  It is more suited to large sellers, which many of us are not.

This community can help you if there are programs you don't understand.  There are lots of seasoned sellers like yourself that have used some of these tools that can advise you.

Some of the reasons that some sellers don't understand some of the very basic tools is because they never venture out on their own and read the policies to learn from.  They prefer to come her and ask others who have read the policies.

We are certainly a mixed group of people around here.
