I need help with the following eBay logic.
You can't list an item if say, you don't enter weight.
You can list an item with a word in the title that will trigger a suspension.
We were suspended for using the word "grips" which are allowed on eBay.
But a human spotted the word grip and attached the word "frame" - arbitrarily combined the two words creating a new term "grip frame" which triggered a 3-day suspension (now 9 days old).
I know it was a human because spell check was ignored.
This issue may seem petty - but let's say you sell "carburetors"
The listing title reads"Rebuilt Carburetor from a Dodge Caliber"
By eBay's logic "Bongs have carburetors and you can't sell bongs - suspended"
"Dodge Caliber is ammunition and you can't sell ammunition" - suspended
Any thoughts?

Suspended for the word 'grips?' I have a feeling we are not hearing the whole story.

That is incorrect.

The taxonomy in the fashion category is ridiculous, too.
ETA: But you don't need to enter weight unless you're doing calculated shipping.

Hi, where did you receive the information regarding title keywords causing a suspension?

Sounds like you got a pretty good 'handle' on the situation here. eBay uses bots. eBay bots are not all that smart. eBay is not the only selling venue anymore that have decent sales.

I have listed over 40,000 items one at a time and have never ever entered the weight for any of them
calculated shipping is not mandatory, I just dont use it
my buddy used to use the word gription all the time and I think its a good word
the oil filter was too slippery and I could not get enough gription

This was not a bot as noted by the mis-spellings

Artificial intelligence is not very smart. Looks like eBay basically uses a keyword system with no ability to understand context. CS are just going buy the bot made decision and clearly have no authority to over ride.
As for extended suspension, the question needs to be asked what is the process for lifting? a time certain clock of some kind of huma intervention?
