Super difficult to call ebay using the "Call an agent" Keeps scrolling -can't click on call an agent

Unsure if it has my phone number or not - lots of X's and when I try to input my number won't take it. Very difficult. Anybody has any suggestions. I was given a direct number but when I call it is not for general questions. Very frustrating!!

Ebay does NOT have an option called "call an agent".  Did you get that from some internet search?  

 

Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service.  Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is.  Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message.  It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left.  If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options.  Not all options are available 24/7.  It will depend on staffing available.  So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't.  Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me.  If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.

If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.

If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

lol, that's the idea, they don't want you calling them, costs too much for an agent to sit on the phone answering crazy questions.😄

Not talking about you, but there are millions of people calling eBay and trying to get out of INR or NAD or feedback, or managed payments.

With millions of sellers and buyers, and especially new sellers with tons of questions, it's time for AI to do the work.

No that is not why.  Where did you get that from?

 

The structure of the Customer Service Dept changed dramatically because of the Pandemic.  Ebay simply has not gone back to the traditional call center we had before.  Lots of Corporations decided to structure CS differently.

 

It isn't hard, difficult or cumbersome to get ahold of CS.  We have several options on how to connect.  Because it is different than it was before doesn't mean it doesn't work or people can't contact them.  It only means it is different than what we were use to prior to 2020.  Lots of things changed after the pandemic.
