Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions.
I am a long time Ebay seller, and specialize in high end niche technology products.
I recently fell below standard as a seller, having accured 3 defects from buyers who filed immediate cases over relatively small issues where I simply could not respond fast enough.
Have also accrued a 6.18% late delivery rate, with only 1 seller reported late delivery.
I am attempting to increase the quantity of items I have for sale, and I am generally the lowest priced vendor for any given item, apples to apples.
The issue is that I am really sandboxed by the effects of the below standard rating. Sales immediately dropped from roughly 50-60K/month to roughly 20K/month. I believe that may be because all of my listings show up at or near the bottom of Best Match search for a given item query.
Just curious if anyone has any suggestions. I thought I was gonna get past it by the April evaluation, having listed a ton of stuff below cost just to get more transactions to affect the percentages on my defects, but it does not seem to have had much of an effect.
Thanks
Cory

The evaluation on the 20th of each month is based on the previous 12 full months. Any extra sales during April will affect your evaluation numbers for the May 20 evaluation.

Sorry, just occurred to me. ....If I am still "Projected Below Standard" currently in Seller Dashboard, is that an indication that the increased transactions in April were not enough to get me back above standard?

Yeah. All you can do is wait now. I had it happen to me once and on the 20th I was below on the 21st I was above and they wouldnt do a thing about it and just had to wait through an extra month because of it. Was really annoying but they wont do much to help you. But yes, if you are still projected below on the 20th you are screwed for another month.

I t will stay until it drops off your record witch is 12months, until it will drop off.

Used to be you'd get the boot, but starting June 1st you get to stay you'll just be paying 14% FVFs instead of 10%....

In your dashboard click on the number of transaction that has the defects and then click get full report that will show the item and the date the defect occured and will give you the timeframe when they begin to fall off....

i see no negatives on your account . but on this account you have if you want to save it, here is what you need to do:
find some new stuff to sell that you get from a manufacturer or distributer that you can sell for a very low price. the things need to be things that will move volume quickly and appeal to a very wide range of people.
sell them, ship same day, get the packages scanned in front of your face and build your positive feedback up real quick

I see you offer 30 day returns and on some items even offer 60 days. You also usually ship within 2 days.
A few years back I was a TRS and got the 20% discount, etc.. I fell to above average having a few late shipments and had several returns. I was stupid and fought one buyer remorse return & got a unresolved case defect for it.
I called ebay about the defect and was told that if I didn't want to accept returns to change to a no returns policy. Since the 20% discount didn't add up to much for me anyway I decided I could do without it. I changed to a 3 day handling time and changed to a no returns policy.
In no time at all I was back up to TRS again and had the freedom to ship on day 3 after the sale if I wanted to. I usually ship same or next day but I had that 3 day window if I needed it without being late in shipping. The no return policy has saved me several times.
From below standard to TRS is going to take a lot of work on your part & you probably don't have a lot of time. You may be able to save yourself by changing your return policy and extending your handling time. There are absolutely no perks in this for you by having a 30 or a 60 day return policy. Since you have a 2 day handling time you may as well have a 3-4 day handling time instead. You have nothing to lose by changing your policies and it may be the only thing that will help save you.

Hard to believe you are below standard with your beautiful feedback. The shipping on time metric is for a rolling 90 days, so you should be able to get that up quickly. As another poster said, stand in line at the PO if you have to for a scan. Best!

I am a ooak seller, and have lots of inventory with 0 cost. Could you list say 50 items, so you would show up in search at the top under "Cost plus shipping lowest price," without a big financial hit? This is what I would do.
Also, have to add, I think you can get above standard again. Best!
