Store/ID Avatar ~ Real Picture??

See many Sellers, even long- timers,  changing up their Store/Selling IDs to be their "real" picture. 

Think this helps Sellers connect to a potential Buyer?  Personalizes your offerrings?  Helps if using social media to connect to e-Bay to sell your wares?

Thanks for that link, I have some Rosie's and Cameos. When I sold my RV 3 weeks ago in Northern Mich, I placed a Kewpie doll with the little " starfish hands" in the bathroom. The new owner ( friend) seen that and giggled in delight  " I've always wanted one of those!!"

There are three rubber dolls that are a must have in my family: a BigBoy, a Kewpie and a Pillsbury dough boy!

That is NOT a him!  That is a Mallard duck, not a Mallard drake!  Goodness!  Now I am beginning to regret the amount of money I paid that photographer for my glamour shots!

Well as I read this thread, it took several interesting turns!  I don't think you can ever go wrong with art, so I will stick with mine.  Plus, my daughter painted it on the computer for me.💜  Buyers already have our address when they get our packages, and I think my face would be a little too much TMI (IMHO).  I like a little mystery.  You have to guess:  am I young or old? male female or non-binary? red black brown or white hair?  cute or not so much?  Hopefully from reading my descriptions they have already figured out I am smart and witty (that is if they read my descriptions!)

This is probably a question for marketing experts. Here's my opinion:

The type of picture that you display can be used to attract your target audience, such as:

* Those sympathetic to moms taking care of their kiddos

* The appearance/illusion of personal support

* A picture related to the primary product

* Using the logo of the mortar store - let everyone know you're a professional

* For seasonal products, change the picture accordingly

* .... and whatever else you can think of
