Store Home Page Display

Now that eBay is ignoring the design options I chose for my store home page, and it seems to be permanent, it's time to try to minimize the damage they've caused.

Here is my current store home page with an ugly blue bar at the top.

Here is another seller's store home page that looks much better. I'd like to change my page to use a photo like this one does...but I can't figure out how to do it. Can anyone tell me?

Welcome to the cookie-cutter mediocrity that is now eBay.

I’ve given up trying to improve the looks of my storefront. Just another example of eBay’s changes, poorly thought out & implemented, resulting in a glaring example of their own ineptitude for all to see.

In my career as a programmer, I struggled with Change Management - those guys always wanted to make sure what I was going to do wouldn't adversely impact system users. They seemed overbearing and ridiculously picky - insisting on thorough testing and communication with all users.  They were annoying sometimes, but we all knew they were necessary.

eBay apparently has no Change Management system.

Hi, go to the Active Contents Board. Key in @shipscript. He/she very helpful with my billboard store front to help explain and possibly tell you how or if it can be modified/fixed. 

Now, I have what she called I think either Legacy store or Billboard considered a simple conversion. My worry was when they did the new store front conversion that my header & logos remained. And they did remain. However, I was told if you had a Custom or I guess call it a Fancy front, they would be phased in later. I would go to them and ask. Hope this is helpful.

Just digging around a bit ...

Perhaps HERE is the spot you add a large "Cover Image" ...

Click "Edit Profile" and the dialog box appears

Go to your profile (clicking my name does that for me) and then click "Edit Profile". A dialog box appears, apparently allowing you to upload a Cover Image.

It looks to me as though you are 1/2 way opted into the new ebay storefront. You can`t go back to the original as far as I know. I just went thru this the other day. Here is a link to the new storefront set up. Here you can add a picture like the seller you provided the link to....   https://storefront.ebay.com/psn/edit

No problemo ya`ll.  I wouldn`t have known had I not just had to do it all the other day in my store. It took awhile to figure it out. I miss my old store though.
