Stop bothering me when I’m at work!!

I have a buyer who complained that the item he received was lighter shade as listed. I asked him for a photo thinking if his complaint was valid I would just send a replacement. Shade is tricky because one man’s light is another man’s dark. It’s likely if I just sent a replacement without a photo it might be exactly the same as the original which the buyer still believes to be light.

Anyway, the photo I receive is laughable. A super blurry photo of the item in a dark room. I can barely make out the item. He comments “it’s actually lighter than it shows in my photo”. I reply that I need a clearer photo to bring up with my supplier in order to be able to send a replacement. Otherwise I’d need him to return the item back. I sent this message in the middle of the night.

The next afternoon I get his reply and his tone changes. He says he doesn’t have time for this (censored). “Stop bothering me when I’m at work! I’m too busy to deal with you right now.” (Does he really think these messages are real time?) He says he doesn’t want a replacement but a full refund.

I restated for him to return the item. But he replied he can’t as he threw it away right when he opened the package because he was so peeved. And said if I want it back I’m too late. I find out thru feedback that he’s done this to other sellers too… demanding a refund without returning the item back. I wonder if a payment dispute is in my future.

I just feel bad that I forced him to open his eBay messages while he was busy at work making me bother him during work hours… whatever time of day that might be.

@bigdeals.etc

We could mail him Jar Jar....then he'd really have something to complain about!

I always thought it was female clothing buyers that were so difficult.  You get a lot of guys who need to take online buying 101.....

You need to raise your prices.  The price point for your items seems to draw problem buyers who can't seem to handle variation listings.

(Like guys who just buy "socks" - big bunches the same color.  You see them on Saturdays at Costco with their 40 pack of tube socks grinnin ear to ear......score!)

Yup. Crazy buyers come in all shapes and sizes. You might be right about majority being female, but that totally doesn’t mean males are complete angels neither.

And I actually have raised my prices. Twice since august. I plan to do it a third time before veterans. Part of my plan to ease into passing all the recent price hikes (postage, inventory, supplies, postage again, rent) onto my buyers without freaking them out.
