It isn't always a bad thing however some like to make it seem that way. We can all throw out guesses, but what good does that do except maybe getting some people upset. It should be released next month, sometime after the Seller Check in meeting.
Time will tell. No need to get worked up in advance, just wait and see what they are going to do. Then get worked up if needed. Speaking for myself, I have enough worries on my list, no need to add guesses and what ifs to it.

My Bad, I was looking at listing counts, 1000 listings use to be 79 and now it's 299, and it's still nuts

If you're talking about auction listings, IIRC, it has always been 500 listings in Premium and 1000 in Anchor. Regular listings it's 10,000 in Premium and 25,000 in Anchor (I used to have a Premium store).

You may be right, I use to have 1000 listings when eBay offered free listing promos, they cut that out and deactivated Turbo Lister, In order to maintain them, I started using a premium store, and I might have alternated 500 every other month, 1000 listings is a whole lot of work.

You may want to revisit that as your numbers are NOT correct. You seem to be so set on finding negative things to post about Ebay, you might consider slowing down a bit so you make sure you understand what you are viewing.

That is not correct either. Slow down and review stuff completely.

Oh and then there is the extra 10,000 listings in certain categories.

The retirement of TurboLister had NOTHING to do with how many free listings any store level had. They had no choice but to retire TurboLister because the programming was too old and the current site could no longer support it.
