I just received an email from Ebay telling me I have someone interested in my printer. It looks like a scam to me. Here is the link that was sent to me from Ebay from the so-

Your Link: https://myebay.cyou/tracking/lBvfH5HiKJpcRCaS follow the link to complete the verification process called buyer.

It's a scam which if you respond, they'll send a fake payment receipt hoping you'll ship the item. You'd lose the item and get no money.

 

Forward the email (with header) to spoof@ebay.com.

Of course that's a phony email, no one should be using email for anything ebay starting about 25 years ago.

Someone was trying to disguise a URL from eBay by putting in those characters.  Definitely a scam attempt, just a poorly done one.  I would report the message to eBay.

The only way eBay can take action against these scammers is if you report them (the more reports the better).

 

Keep in mind it's a whack a mole situation, when their actions get shut down they just switch to a different service provider and continue to send out these messages in bulk to thousands of email accounts.

And remember, all eBay business is done on eBay, not through emailed links.
