Someone please help a poor newbie out 😢

So I've just created an account about 2 weeks ago and decided to post my first ever listing. However, it says that I've reached the number of items and amount that I can list even though I still have 50 free listings. What do I do??? It seems insanely hard to contact eBay through social media or e-mail, and I'm afraid that calling them will be super costly(I live outside the US).

Hello... welcome to eBay! It appears that there are a few things that need to be in line in order for you to post your first listing.  Have you upgraded from a regular buyer's account to a seller's account?  You would need an upgraded (Premier/business) linked PayPal account as well.  You said that you reside outside of the U.S.  Are you shipping from abroad as well?  That may be the issue if you are a brand new seller.  I am linking a thread from a previous discussion which is very helpful.  The first response (from Jim "ol-nubull") is very thorough and the second response (centerhill73) has some additonal links with info.  Good luck on your ventures!

Anyone know how to change a buyer's account to seller? Or should I just make a new account and start over? Thanks for your time 😃

I think the link in the first response spells it out.  I don't think you need to open a different account, it's more of an upgrade to the one you already have.  I believe it involves linking a bank account and some other steps of the such.

You don't have to make a new account; you do need to change your current one so that it allows selling.

So I've updated my personal information/addresses, provided a automatic payment method+backup payment method, linked my Paypal account, got a business Paypal account, got a message saying i'm verified on Paypal, did I miss anything?? My account's selling limit still remains at 0, and I've even got a message from eBay to request for higher selling limits, but they're requesting pictures of my passport to verify my identity?
