Hi eeryone. I'm selling a dyson hair straightner and have It listed for 455 free shipping. someone just offered 500 for it and said "Hello seller kindly accept my offer so i can proceed with the payment immediately and i will be sending the item to my cousin address in California. i will like to discuss with you better concerning this item. here is my number _______"

It is one of the older scams and since you are a newer seller, it probably won't be the only one you get. Just remember, there is no reason to have to give out your e-mail or other contact info. Anytime someone asks for it or wants a gift card included, consider those serious red flags.
There is usually someone around here on the boards to ask if you have questions.

Yes, it is a scam.

The reason for 'discussing it' is to get your e-mail and send you a 'You've got cash' fake PayPal notice saying that you will get the money as soon as you upload tracking proving shipping.
