Someone is trying to return a package that they don’t have what do I do

I sold a pair of Airpods and the buyer sent me a return request and in the return request he states that he didn’t actually receive the AirPods just and empty box even though I sent him the AirPods myself and k ow they were in the package what do I do

 Did you take the sale off the eBay platform?  I'm not seeing any sales on this ID.  Not a good idea if you did.  They can do a chargeback on their CC and keep the alleged missing items.  An all too familiar scam here on eBay.

Never trust eBay CS support.  Most of the time their replies and solutions are incorrect or just plain false.  They're outsourced overseas agents who read from scripts.  They know very little if anything about how eBay works.  Many big businesses use this type of CS and they are seldom helpful.  Customer service at it's worse.  That's the name of the game here in the US.  Sorry.
