I had two necklaces for sale, cheap. I got a message claiming I'd sent an offer (I hadn't unless it was by massive  mistake) and was I still interested in doing a deal.  OKfine.  I responded with an offer of $12.49 instead of $14.99 and stated this was the lowest these were going.  [lower than that and I might as well just donate them somewhere.]  What the now-blocked questioner was expecting I don't know but the response was:

"Please keep your jewelry. I don’t do business with people like you. I can already tell just by your response that you are difficult."

Ended the listing, did not respond, and couldn't copy and paste the username to my BBL quickly enough.  

If trying to break even is being difficult...SMH.

Good thing she changed her mind. Can you imagine what would have been in store for you had she actually purchased them? SMH, indeed.

I'm grateful she outed herself beforehand.  An honest return is one thing, but buyers like this nobody needs.

It seems to be the newer fashion to claim an offer received and then continue to bully the seller, waiting for them to 'cave'.  I've seen a few of them recently.  Belittling and dissing is coming back into style, I guess.  Glad you were up to telling them, in essence, to go pound sand.

There is some truth to this.

I recently raised some prices on items I kept getting low ball offers on.  Several of those have sold (w/o an offer) at the raised prices in the past 30-45 days.  No idea why - but if all else fails, raise the price!  lol

This is of course after eBay tells us repeatedly "It might sell if you lower the price by $5" or whatever.  Yeah sure.

Things I've learned selling

If something sells too fast, it was priced to low

If something won't sell, it's priced too low

I typically raise prices on things that have sat around too long, THEN they sell (silly humans!  GRINS)
