Hello All,
I am listing a Lot for sale containing 155 books.
Between the general descriptive text of my offer and the item-by-item details which include "Title, Author, Date Published, Condition, etc." the listing exceeds the 4,000 character limitation of the Description field. Details are important to potential buyers and in this case, details for collectible items need to be known in order to attract sales.
When I reduce the characters to below 4,000 I can list the Lot, but only a very small portion of the inventory table is visible making it appear that do not have the items I claim or the photos show.
I have added the phrase below the truncated table "The entire inventory will NOT fit on this page. Contact this seller with a request for full data.", with the intent that I could provide any interested party with the full inventory.
I thought about providing a PDF of the Inventory Table as an attachment to the reply of their request for details, but I see that PDFs are not supported this way via eBay's message reply system. And it looks like photos sent as an attachment have noted issues with appearing very small and thereby rendered useless.
So, since I can't directly email a buyer or have a link to an off-site location for them to view the Inventory Table, how can I provide them with this important data? The Inventory table consumes 6 and a half pages on a landscape oriented letter-size page.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thanks again JP for your solution. Would still like to know how to overcome this problem for future listings.

Maybe break it down into smaller lots?
