Sold items still showing on active listings

For some reason, since January,  I have had several items that I sold /shipped that mysteriously show up again on my active listings. These were single items and I do not have the out of stock listing option turned on in my preferences. Is anyone else having this issue and is there a fix for it?   If I do a search, the item is still showing up as being available.  I went back and manually deleted, but wanted to get it fixed.

It happens from time to time - these "ghost" listings.  Unfortunately, it appears e-Bay is aware of it, but it has been going on for several years for us, so doubtful it will correct itself any time soon.  

Typically we discover it when it sells again.  Which is "oh SO FUN"!  (not)

Be glad you caught them and deleted them before a Buyer found them.

This is happening to me as well. I turned on the "out of stock option" for a very brief moment, because a buyer said she wanted to buy something, but couldn't pay for til next paycheck the next day. After she bought the item, I turned it back off, but now I still have sold items showing up.

It's not every item though, just a few. Most were from the time I turned "out of stock", on. It stopped happening after about a week. I've still got those items on my seller hub though...very annoying.
