Sold item suddenly unavailable, cannot send an invoice to buyer, cannot cancel order, cannot do anyt

Over a week ago, I received and accepted an offer for the item I put up for sale. But, suddenly, my listing became "unavailable," I could not send an invoice (when I tried to, it said "Sorry, the item(s) included in your invoice are no longer valid for sale.") nor cancel the order (it only said "something went wrong, please try again. I tried canceling it more than 3 times on different days, but I got the same result) despite the buyer not having paid me for a week. The only message I got from ebay when this first started, is that my payments were temporarily on hold because they have to review something, but they said to wait for just up to 5 days, which has now passed and I have not received further notice ever since they've sent that message.

In the message, it also said "This temporary block will not impact your regular operations (listings/selling)," so I'm not even certain if that's the cause of this. What's driving me even more crazy, is that this still affects my selling limit, so there is nothing I could sell until this item is taken care of. I did not go against any policies, and of course I did not take the item down myself. It hasn't gotten half as close to 90 days since I've put the item up for sale. What could possibly be the problem, and how can I deal with this?

You are a new seller listing an item for 20K that everyone on planet earth knows that is an absurd number. Trying to manipulate sales not the wisest move. Hopefully you will not be permanently banned.

...so it was the high price that was the problem? I only did so because I looked up how much the doll I had could cost, and that amount was the answer I got. Is there a guideline on ebay that you're not allowed to sell expensive things at first?

You might see them sell for those crazy prices, but they don't pay.

No one is going to pay $20,000 for a $5 - $10 toy.

You're a new seller, with listing/selling limits, nowhere near that amount.

The reason it was unavailable was because Ebay removed the listing.

Have a great day.

HOW does a new seller even get a limit that high? The listing was BIN/BO so they shouldn't have even been able to set a price that high.

I can go open a new account right now and unless I link it with this one I'll get a ten item $500 limit - reasonable for a new seller.  $20K is NOT reasonable for a new seller.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

? My selling limit was $25K. My question is, why is it such a big problem for one to sell expensive things at first? And if the problem was the limit, why can't I at least cancel the order? And if the problem was anything else, why haven't I gotten any notice from ebay concerning it?

That's what I thought before putting it up for sale, so I was hesitant. The thing is though, someone DID buy it. My PROBLEM is that there is nothing I could do at the moment for the next step because nothing else works and I was not given a notice from ebay concerning the cause of it!

Scammers target newbies.

My guess would be that even if you were able to send an invoice, the buyer wouldn't have paid or would have requested your contact information so they could "pay" you outside of ebay.

Then, the fake Paypal notification you'd receive would tell you to ship the item and funds would be released after tracking showed movement.

The problem is that there'd be no payment and you'd ship the free item to the scammer, losing the money and the item.

Someone may have made an offer, but they did not 'buy' it.  Do you have the money?  My guess is no, which is why the listing was pulled.

Did you look under your all orders tab, it shows a bear sold....

Most likly will not get payed for it.

You are a target for SCAMMERS: just saying.

Also:

If you can not afford to lose item and the money paid for it: Do not list it.

Read the buyers money back guarantee you agree to by listing on eBay.

Such is easily said "empty box". item not as described, and other things that can cost you your item.

Do not fall for the fake payment scams also:

You'll see those selling for those prices, but they never pay for them.

Some buyers like messing with new sellers, selling items like that, knowing they would never get the money.

Nothing works, because Ebay removed the item.

A new account, a few days old, kind of hard to believe you had a selling limit of $25,000.

Have a great day.

I've got a screenshot as proof of my selling limit, but unfortunately I'm unable to share it here...

It shows the bear sold, but if you click on it, it's gone.

Maybe the buyer did try to message giving out their number or email address and asking for the sellers? And ebay proactively pulled the listing?

Nah ...
