Sold item in unsold list - example included

HI there,

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of how to avoid duplicate listings while using new seller hub?  I typically go to my unsold and relist the items that I want to keep listed.  I attempted to do this yesterday and while I was checking off things marked not relisted I was sure I had just had a question about one.  Sure enough there it was in my active items.  I know this happened a few months back which caused me to get 2 defects because I did not realize that when you send an item to auction it does not remove the original buy it now listing it put it in your unsolds.  This seems silly to me but anyway it caused me to have 2 items sell to 2 different people.  This new issue with seller hub has me not wanting to relist any of my listings 😞

I have the same trouble in hub. To avoid duplication I go to unsold in hub, change the date to todays date. Compare them to the unsold eBay emails. Select all of the ones on todays date and hit 'sell similar' at the top tab in blue. This gives every unsold item a new item number. Then when the process is finished I see those unsolds still sitting there but they have been listed. I then select all of them  in the unsold again and hit action delete. You have to manually delete them once you have put them back up again. I would not use relist as your reusing the same item number. Use the sell similar in top tabs and they then look as new listings. And delete out of unsold view after they are back up. The next day you should only see the new lot.

I hear many sellers have this issue. It's not ebay. It's simply remembering to delete unsold items after relisiting.

I have relisted tens and thousands of listings and have never had an issue. The second you relist or sell similar, go to your unsold and DELETE.

I do that, and I'm not using the Hub, but I find ever since they took the sell similar bulk button off the generic selling page I'm getting a few duplicate auctions (which of course are never flagged as such when you list)

WOW "Tens and thousands" out of billions of relists, that is clear mathematical proof! Can't argue with that.... because everyone knows a rare glitch happens to everyone, under any condition, on every server..... I never saw a platypus.... which means they don't exist.... just because you and many other people think you saw one means absolutely nothing to me.

mine wasn't a sold, just one I never relisted, it popped up 8 months later... I relist one item at a time while the item is in my hand.... I didn't even have photos any longer.... that said I think the real glitch is much rarer then all the instances that get blamed on it.... but I also think there are multiple glitches people are attributing to the same issue.... such as adding solds to the unsold list.

There was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility. Inside of the dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy and a tragedy.

ebby yours sounds like one of those ghost listings eBay does to sellers every so often.
