Sold item fir cash-how do I complete the transaction?

Hi,

ive sold an item for cash and updated that buyer has paid. Buyer has also collected in person. For collection I'm required to scan a barcode I don't have or enter six digit code from buyer which he doesn't have. Don't know what to do now. Any advice?

My advice......don't worry about it!

I've been doing local pickup sales on eBay for 20 years, never had to think about anything like this QR code stuff, never had an issue with a pick up order.

The whole QR code thing is just to calm down the ultra paranoid as far as I can tell especially when a buyer picks up and pays cash. It "might" has some use if the buyer pays through eBay prior to pickup but for a cash sale it's essentially pointless.
