This doesn't happen a lot, but it happens too often. Why won't eBay fix things so the buyer has a way to update their address after they make a purchase? So tired of the "I supplied the wrong address by mistake" line. Especially minutes after the purchase. This isn't a new problem, why isn't there a solution???
This is even worse now that the economy is doing bad. $10 in lost PayPal fees is equivalent to 2 days of food, or 5 gallons of gas, or 4 days of electricity, etc.

All the days are the same now. Been trying to take a break and relax with no luck. Still kinda burned out with eBay. Too much work to do though. How have you been?
Yes! Isn't that the truth, some days i've had to check the phone to see what day it is! Otherwise, I've been good. Have made some sales that i wasn't expecting, thinking perhaps folks want to hang on to their funds right now. It can be easy to get burned out. I try to pace the workload. Hope you can get a little R&R soon!

The only thing you can do is have the buyer request to cancel the purchase (Don't do this for them it counts against your selling account) then refund and relist for them to purchase, ebay will then refund any fees back to you because the buyer asked to cancel. Hope this helps

This is actually a PayPal issue.
Maybe PP can put a prompt in asking if this is the buyer's current address or where they want their purchase sent.

Buyers can easily verify the address on the checkout page. There's really no reason for anyone to supply an incorrect address...unless they're not paying attention, and I agree sellers shouldn't have to pay for that.

Yes. Once you've paid someone for something, PayPal does not allow the shipping address to be changed. I have had people forget to change their shipping address when paying me for non-eBay sales and the only way to fix it is to cancel and refund, have them change their address, and then pay you again.

I only ship to the PayPal address, not to the eBay address.
So for me, this would be a PayPal issue, not an eBay issue.
And I suspect the same is true for many other sellers.

In this case it would be for problem with buyer's address, but either would work.

You are blaming Ebay for something the buyers are not doing. Which is pay attention during check out. A buyer can change their ship to address during check out if they want to. The buyer is in control of the ship to address, they always have been.
Buyers can have multiple ship to address in Ebay and PP. When they go to check out and pay for something is when they should be deciding on the ship to address. It will default to what they have on file, but they can change it. If it is wrong and they don't correct it, it is simple human error for not paying attention to the process. We all do it from time to time.
But it isn't Ebay's or PP's fault.

The question should be....Why don't buyers update their address before making a purchase? I'm so tired of the "make eBay make buyers do this" line.

When I buy stuff I always change my ship to address at check out when the purchase is to be shipped to people in other states. Been doing that since 2008 - no issues.
