First off ebay has helped me sell items to a larger market which I enjoy, thank you!
As someone selling used items eBay has made the process of posting and shipping really easy. But what I don't like is the delay on shipping cost.
As an example, one item I sold an item on September 12th, I "bought" shipping on the 12th. I dropped the item off at UPS on the 13th; it arrived at the bidder on the 15th. I waited for all of my auctions to end before transferring money from eBay to me. Then I get charged for the label on the 28th.
Personally, I would like the shipping deducted from the selling price. I changed them for shipping, I collected that money, I "bought the label using my balance", so charge me then. Or charge me when it arrives, or at least have eBay set that amount aside. But billing me two weeks after the item arrived is weird. That would be like a restaurant charging me for a meal after I went to the bathroom subsequently.
I am not debating whether or not this is stated on the site; I am sure it is. I am just saying this would be a great quality-of-life addition for small sellers.
Thank you, mates!

If you want instant billing for your shipping use USPS, UPS/FedEx don't work that way, they bill eBay AFTER they have received the package and confirmed the weight and dimensions, then they bill eBay who bills you.

Use your own UPS or FedEx account.

@thingstobidoff That only happens when you use UPS or FedEx. If you use USPS you are charged at the time you purchase your shipping label. Moving forward you can achieve exactly what you want, but only by using USPS or your own personal UPS, FedEx account. Best of luck to you....
