βI always thought we could claim out of pocket medical expenses ?β
I believe you can claim OoP medical (and medical mileage) if it meets a certain threshold.

As posted on other threads people are NOT getting their usual tax refund money they have gotten in the past due to income tax re-form, so what little they get is used to pay bills and not being pumped back into the economy. Many of us are feeling it too!

Tax refund? What's that? Oh yeah, that - don't ya have to file one first?
'Sides, who needs money? Don't all those peeps have plastic?
(Okay, who hid the sarcasm font this time?)

I've been on the rah rah bandwagon for years but it's really all about the buyer being able to find your item. If you're on a downturn visibility cycle - most buyer's won't go through all the pages to find your item. They usually pick something on the first or second page. My March was the highest I've had in 20 yrs - this April so far is one of the worst. That's why everyone needs to spread your items out and cross post.

I agree ,, I think that's the real issue as well . I had booming sales last weekend 12 to 14 or so sales in just two days which was pretty unusual for me .This past week was pretty normal too . Tulips

We did too - but as stated on another thread - I'm having problems finding things in search as so much is displayed that doesn't match what I'm searching for.
We always have an excuse for why sales are slow instead of admitting that there are problems.

We had to pay $2100 this year. We always itemize but the tax cuts put a stop to that. We would owe more by itemizing. I donβt get it. We have a fixed income, what few sales I get here and enormous medical bills. I donβt mind paying my fair share but I feel like we owed way too much for our income level. Well under $50,000.

I always thought we could claim out of pocket medical expenses ? Our prescription costs went way up for awhile because we had reached the donut hole . However now they are back down to a reasonable level . I don't understand all the tax stuff nor do I even want to . I'd like to keep what brain cells I have left intact . π

Yep, my mom had to pay an extra $800 to the IRS this year, no thanks to Trump's "Tax Cut of The Century", that's left Americans flat broke and unable to pay their bills. The middle class lost big time.
The only ones who're benefiting from this tax cut are generally business owners. ebay sellers should benefit, but the Average American is clearly not.
The IRS has even stated they've issued billions less in tax refunds this year, a failed tax reform is I ever saw one.

Yes. Or, itβs completely hidden. I searched exact match keywords for a specific, rare item. No results on eBay. Even with throttlingβthis item should have come up in the search results. I then searched Google for the same thing and was shown three results from the same seller, all were active listings on eBay. So eBayβs search found 0 resultsβnot even results for similar items.
February up until mid-March were very good for me. No petty returns, no difficult buyers, unwarranted lowball offersβjust smooth sailing, huge growth spike. I had three returns open from
3/17 to 3/21 (2 false INADS, 1 remorse) and my sales came to a screeching halt. With that, brought all the problematic buyers, unwarranted offers, nitpickers and tire-kickers. Itβs like eBay has two traffic streams; direct the bad buyer traffic flow to the βlow performing sellersβ and direct the high-value customer traffic to the βgood sellersβ.
My 60-day average from 3/21 to now has tanked $2200.
When things like this happen, itβs not organic. Itβs not the economy, the stock market, weather, trends, the Easter bunny, etc. It looks like this...

Our refund was $2100 less this year. Like @extrememobility said... bills, and that was about it. Nothing left for actually BUYING anything. Would have been nice to at least have a little left for a new power steering pump for our 345,000 mile Camry lol.

Let's keep politics off the boards please - people forget that they had less taken out of their paychecks each week so had extra money every pay check. I made sure we changed the exemptions so that we would receive more back when filing.
Most of my middle class friends received good refunds - if people don't have enough taken out then most will end up owing to the gov't.
