Tried for 3 days to get a listing to show up in search, have a buyer for it and nothing worked so finally i did a chat with a live person. I didn't think this was real but it is, this should be a class action lawsuit that should cost eBay 100's of millions of dollars, this isn't right!

It also says, and the caps boldface are in the User Agreement, and are not mine, so this is a straight copy and paste:
"Prohibition of Class and Representative Actions and Non-Individualized Relief
YOU AND EBAY AGREE THAT EACH OF US MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, OR REPRESENTATIVE OR PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION OR PROCEEDING. THE ARBITRATOR MAY NOT CONSOLIDATE OR JOIN MORE THAN ONE PERSON'S OR PARTY'S CLAIMS, AND MAY NOT OTHERWISE PRESIDE OVER ANY FORM OF A CONSOLIDATED, REPRESENTATIVE, CLASS, OR PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION OR PROCEEDING. ALSO, THE ARBITRATOR MAY AWARD RELIEF (INCLUDING MONETARY, INJUNCTIVE, AND DECLARATORY RELIEF) ONLY IN FAVOR OF THE INDIVIDUAL PARTY SEEKING RELIEF AND ONLY TO THE EXTENT NECESSARY TO PROVIDE RELIEF NECESSITATED BY THAT PARTY'S INDIVIDUAL CLAIM(S). ANY RELIEF AWARDED CANNOT AFFECT OTHER USERS."
Of course, that is followed by a bit of eraser language.

It would make more sense that ebay let ads start immediately and then index later. I think by indexing , ebay really means where to shove your listing depending if you paid for promoted listings or not.
Listings do start immediately. Indexing is the database management process that makes them quickly searchable. If you have some way of making that happen without indexing, you’re on your way to becoming one of the ten richest people on earth.

This process is known as Indexing. Indexing is the process all items that are listed on eBay have to go through. And this process is not same for all the items you list, hence the ideal time we suggest to the members it wait for a maximum of 24 hours by which the item surely appears in the search result.
What exactly isn’t right about a normal and essential database process? If they didn’t do this, no one would ever find any listing without being sent a direct link.

Just planning for the future.
What would my share come out to?

Just remember, your computer does indexing all the time hidden in the background unless you go to Control Panel and tweak it. Anytime you want to search your computer for a file, you are asking your computer to look through its index for a faster search.
I have worked with indexing on my computer and even modified it, so when I do it starts the index all over again. When that happens, some files do not show up immediately until the index is well underway. It can take hours to index all computer files.
eBay has millions of files (our listings), so it makes sense to have an index. Each time we revise our listings or create a new listing, it has to be added to the index. Think of our listing's item number; that is part of eBay's database.

If you can see it in your active listings, click on it, then scroll down until you see the shipping tab. On the right side you will see the listing number. Copy and paste it on a message to the buyer.
