How could they even remotely promise an increase in sales? And what period would they base the 50% increase on? If you sell stuff that no one wants, how could they possibly guarantee that you would sell 50% more of the stuff that no one wants?

That would be a great promotion for sellers.

But it would be an idiotic promotion for eBay, because I think eBay is smart enough to know that that a store subscription will not magically generate sales for the same old seller listing the same old items.

A store subscription does not stimulate demand for an item, attract new buyers to search for it, or make then any more likely to buy.
