Like many others have posted, I am also having major issues with the new listing tool. I was forced into using it on Oct 6th and it has been a very unpleasant experience. I am a desktop user and for some reason, the information box cannot be enlarged or scaled and it is impossible to see the entire body of the listing. I have included a picture to demonstrate how ridiculous this is that in 2022 I can't even scale the description box on the NEW tool when I could do it on the old one.
Second, the way shipping is done now on the new tool has jacked up our costs x4 or more depending on the item. I sell comic books, collectible trading cards, and other fun toys. The shipping is now more than the cost of the actual items on the new tool.
I have included pictures from the old tool showing that a comic book being shipped would cost us around $1.88 for its weight and size. On the new tool, we have no options because it auto-selects small to medium items. So now our shipping on the SAME item size is $4-5 per item.
This is insane. I have to take down all of our comic books because I cannot offer free shipping on a $3.99 item when the shipping is $4-5. How on earth do you expect your sellers to make money when the new tool is sabotaging us every time we try to use it? How are we supposed to list the thousands of items we have when it now takes us 3-5 times longer to list if the tool doesn't crash? Why are desktop users forced into using an inferior mobile platform when the previous one was better in almost every way?
Please use common sense when making changes that affect stores and sellers who use this as their primary business platform. It is insane how awful the change is, and how much control you have taken away from your sellers.
I have said it before, and I will say it again, we are looking at competitors very seriously. I know my shop leaving won't matter much to eBay's bottom line, but you cannot expect people to stay forever. You have real competition out there, you should be working to keep what sellers you have left.

Your example for "old listing tool" is showing the prices for a First Class flat (AKA Large envelope) but the second example is showing the prices for a First Class package. Rates went up on October 2, but not that much!

There is no option for a large envelope now, everything is small and medium. That is the issue, new tool has removed the option completly.

If you intend to ship items as flats, then choose generic "Standard shipping" and enter the flat price based on the envelope's weight. If necessary, you can still look up the postage cost on the independent eBay shipping calculator:
