Shipping Delays - USPS

I've mailed almost 6000 items via USPS and except for the occasional delay, have never really had any problems.

In the last 2 months, I've had 2 items lost (I guess, the tracking simply stopped and the items were never received) and multiple items have taken a long time to arrive.  

Is this happening to a lot of people?  Is it because of Covid?

Is eBay cutting sellers a break on missing committed dates because of this?

Yes it is happening to me as well! But not because covid, usps has internal issue i guess, the government is doing something and affecting all of my packages lately, I started seen delays 2 weeks ago, prior to those 2 weeks it was fine, all my packages arrived fast to all my customer. It is frustrating and hurting my ebay business big time, don’t know how long will this issue last hope usps can figures out their issue and take care of us because we seller pays a lot of money using their services.
