This has got to be simple but I can't figure it out. Buyer buys 2 items from my store, pays for both immediately and asks to combine shipping. In my ebay it shows as 2 sales with no way that I can see to combine them together where one tracking number covers both. What am i missing??

Manually add the tracking number to the second item.

Same number?

Do you use eBay labels? Easy to combine packages for 1 label. Check mark the items you want to combine and click on print labels. Next page will walk you through how to vine. Tracking will update for both.

I think I tried that once before and it didn't work but I'll give it another try. Thanks

Are you sure that works? I seem to recall a rather lengthy thread posted by an eBay Employee and it seemd so convoluted that I could finish reading it. That was per-Seller Hub so not sure if they improved the system or not. I occasionally get Buyers who buy more than one item and purchase separately. I've asked a few times if the Cart andcheckout were available but never got any answers so just shipped and refunded some shipping on each order. I have not tried to combine the items and a recent one I would not have wanted to ... four vintage board games and a train set ... the box would have been huge and heavy and may have pushed me out of certain USPS limits. Anyway, just wondering if you've done what you suggest, I would definitely try it ...

I ship a lot of my stuff by priority padded flat rate envelope and can easily fir several items in but just worry about somebody claiming they only got one and I can't prove otherwise .

I use it all the time. Always works for me. It’s clunky, but it works.

Do your listings require immediate payment? It seems to me, that your buyer is asking for a partial refund for shipping charges.
The time for a buyer to ask for combined shipping is before they pay. It may be items that you don't feel comfortable shipping together. If you are asking how to add a tracking number for the second sale, click add tracking, to the right of the item on you sold page and a form will load, you choose the carrier and add the tracking number.

I made a post a while back about this that will show you how to combine multiple items

Thanks everybody for the help. I will give this a shot on my next combined shipping.

I use a postage program, Endicia. I create a label for the package, copy the tracking number, and paste it into 2 or more listings. Ebay seems to know they are combined and does not say anything like "tracking number already used". I got that message once when I accidentally used the same number for two orders that were not combined.

I type the tracking in for the first one, copy it then ctrl v it into the second one and no problems. This is routine, many buyers buy two or more items at once and they let you use the same tracking number, it's easier to ctrl c / ctrl v after you've typed the first number. Dump the number into the rest of them for that same person's purchases, only takes a minute.
