I don't know if I'm alone in this but this past weekend was the WORST weekend I've had in a very long time. I don't know if it's all the glitches in the system or just a perfect storm combo of economy and tech but it's getting old and VERY SCARY!
I can't go on like this! I need to make money to keep my store OPEN! I have children to feed!! This has to be fixed!
Please stop with the throttling ESPECIALLY during a time when there is technical issues we have to deal with! Please, I'm begging you!!

Unfortunately I think all our effort are falling on deaf ears. They don't care. They see how many sellers are saying we're in trouble and no one comes here to say anything, with the exception of the cheerleaders they send in to try to stop us from saying anything. I'm sorry this is happening to you and believe me I feel the exact same way.
Maybe Ebay is in real trouble and they can't fix what is happening? That would be one way to explain their silence.

You are not alone - I am in the same situation - sales are now down a little over 50% since last year 😞

Unfortunately, eBay is not a venue to depend on for your primary income. It is troubled and misguided to say the least. eBay has been going down hill for awhile now as a once thriving venue to a hobby only site due to the unpredictable technical and constant juggling of rules for sellers among other issues like type of items being offered preferred or now unpopular.
I have been here since 1999 (other ID), and I have seen the glory days to the fall of Rome. This seems apparent that this is the downward spiral eBay has taken. I have tried other venues without much success, but others have had some luck

I do not think it is throttling. No advertising.

Actually this was the best weekend I have had in months - 7 sales over four accounts, but all between 8 pm Friday and midnight Saturday - not a single sale on Sunday. Also all of them were east of the Mississippi. In fact, I have had only sale west of the Mississippi (Oklahoma) in the entire month of October. How strange is that?

I've been seeing TV advertising- not sure if it's helping. The biggest issue is 10 years ago, the 28 yr olds were 18 and not spending money yet (their parents were). Now that the 18 yr olds are 28, that generation is the driving force in sales and do not spend money on things like antiques, deco, used clothes etc. Electronics and New Clothing still move, but if you know what you want, the searching is much easier/clearer on other venues and you know, as a buyer, you can return easily. Here, it's a fight for some buyers to return things because not all sellers are on the same page (as much as ebay would like).
I bought a part (car) that clearly said they come in a pack of 10, so I bought 3 packs. I received 3 instead of 30. Seller just refunded and said 'was an error', but the seller has still NOT fixed their listing and is selling a 69c part for $15. Ridiculous.

This entire month has been rough. July, August and September were really good and then the bottomed dropped out as soon as October hit.
I'm down 50% in sales right now, and maybe more if it doesn't pick up soon.

Folks need to realize that everyone has become a seller. CL FB porch pickup and other sale sites in closeby neighborhoods have taken over. Disposable income is now spent on streaming and other tech gadget service. I started ebay in early 1998 and have been here all along. Sellers took the bait and opened stores and began to list anything and everything. The site is clogged. Not everyone can make the first pages and not every phone can show more than that. I sell at the swap meet on occasion and that has taken a dump too as no one can buy or sell anything without checking prices on their phone. It isn't solely ebay's fault.

I honestly think eBay is done. This has been the worst 3 months I have seen in 20+ years on eBay. Monday/Tuesdays were the busiest for us (multiple seller account) with 1500-2k on average per day for the past 10 years and as of today we are down to 0 in sales nothing at all. The system is completely broken for months now, doesn't matter what you do no sales come in. Maybe eBay executives are planning a mass exodus at this point. Doesn't look like any sales will be coming in any time soon. Time to focus on other selling platforms.

I had terrible sales on all of my venues. One venue I usually have around 25 packages and only had 10. The other venue was half of what it normally is.
Other forums on other sites have many sellers complaining about sales.
Don't think it is Ebay

You're not alone, our sales crashed last Thursday. No idea what's going on.
