Sending items using Royal Mail stamps

Hi, I have some games to sell but eBay is making me use prepaid simple delivery to send the games which means I’m forced to pay for tracking postage from eBay.  Not to mention it’s expensive. I already have stamps that I can send my items with so don’t want to pay again.

How can I get around this?

Thanks

You might want to post this question on your home site.

AFIK, you CAN use those stamps to mail your games (at least if you were in the US), but not having tracking to prove delivery in the case of an item not received case could wind up costing you more than regular postage with tracking.

ebay saying UK private sellers pay no selling fees is not entirely true as you are finding out. With simple delivery you have to buy your labels through ebay, and I'm sure they take a cut of that. Then the payment hold until after delivery, it all adds up. With the "buyer protection" more that making up any remaining shortfall in fees.

Judging by the growing number of complaints on this forum it appears that payment holds until after delivery is spreading. Either that or the reasons for payment holds are being cranked up. Which for those affected amounts to the same thing.

My personal opinion is that quite a few of the complaints here about payment holds are from new sellers who didn't read that new kids can have their funds up to 30 days as well as sellers who have gone along for years only listing items for twenty bucks or less and suddenly are posting much higher dollar listings.
