so, i have sold products on ebay for about 2 years only to US customers and i am based in the US.
i have about 5 products out of my >230 listings that would be suitable for selling in France, GB, etc. It is not a good business move for me to sell all of my products outside the US due to pricing structure and other reasons.
my question which remained unanswered from ebay chat yesterday is this.
can i sell just a" small qty " < 5 of my 240 listing overseas without changing all of my listing to sell outside the us? and use ebay's "global shipping program" the answer from ebay was "that is a good question???"
if i can and i have tried researching this online, how do i do it?
thanks very much for your assistance and hope everyone had a good holiday.

I'm not sure about your question, but expecting to get a straight answer in eBay chat in under an hour is a little unrealistic. If no one else can answer your question here, try eBay chat again when you have a 3-hour window.

You could create another shipping policy for international and choose to 'Change to' your new policy with a revision of the listings in question. Good luck.

@sales-280 There is no 'all or nothing' when it comes to selling internationally. Just open shipping internationally to those products you're willing to sell to overseas/Canada - it would be a listing by listing change.

I assume you mean eBay International Shipping which is the replacement for the old Global Shipping Program.
The answer is Yes you can and yes you can (not sure why you would want to) limit it to specific items. You will have to ensure that you actually block all countries you don't want to ship to on those items that you don't want to ship internationally.
EIS will observe and comply with your blocks.

@sales-280 Info about the EIS (eBay International Shipping) program is here.
After reviewing it you can decide which you want to ship of your products.
I'm sorry CS gave you such a bogus answer - it's pretty useless, but we can help you here.

If you have only a few items you would want to sell internationally, I would go with Chapeau's suggestion, just change the individual listings, don't make any new policies, or change your settings, it may not end well, you will just get headaches you did not ask for.

with eIS you just sell as usual.
As the eBay CSR would tell you.............. "no worries".
If you do not ship internationally directly then eIS is the greatest thing since sliced bread, for a seller.
Buyer pays. Seller ships to the eBay hub. Once there all responsibilities for the sale then fall onto eBay. eBay takes the heat for INR, INAD, damage, and chargebacks.
Not all items can be purchased through eIS. eBay controls/monitors that.
Shipment arrival to some buyers is very slow.

eIS would be the best bet for you. They handle all the fun customs stuff. There will be issues if you happen to sell multiple items at the same time. There is "currently" no combined shipping with eIS. In the works. That goes for shipping to Canada too. That would have to be done on your own with regular USPS. One other thing to consider if you want to include Germany(there may have been other countries added since..see below) are the packaging regulations.

There are packaging laws in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden, i.e. in all EU member ...

24 years of experience being here and I can simply state "NO" to selling outside of the US.
