Hi - I am having an issue with a listing with USA shipping only. I keep getting Vietnam & Chinese bids. Do they really think I have 7 million dollars to ship something to them when I am charging 10.00 shipping? I have it clearly marked as USA shipping only. I even added a subtitle saying USA shipping only. Ebay keeps up with whatever makes them money. Can't they somehow block these unwanted bids?

Go into Your seller settings and Block them

That should be able to be done in shipping settings...I think you can block just about any country You don't want to sell to.

Amend your postage policy and add international shipping them select & block all international locations. That will stop them otherwise they will continue to bid regardless that you say USA only. Block all other countries in your policy is the best way to do it. Don't waste money on expensive subtitles.

Someone who is outside the US can bid on your items - if their Ship To address is in the US, unless their specific ID is blocked, they can bid.

You can't just put in the description that you ship US only. You have to do it in your settings when you list the item. So to answer your question, yes you can block them.

Hi - Thank you! The seller site does not want to except my exclusions. It will not really let me click on save. Also, regarding North America, I check all the countries like Canada, Bermuda, etc. that I don't ship to & then a check appears for North America. It is like I have to leave one country off or all of the US is blocked. What please can I do? Thanks.

You can also make your shipping exception list when you create your listing.

You know how to do all this, but if one slips through your net I would just cancel citing problem with buyers address.
As said some will have a US forwarder address/friend etc, but then you get hit with foreign fees ? 1.65% ?
So yeah, I would just cancel.

Hi - The net must have holes large enough for a whale to pass through. I already have 2 Vietnam bidders since I changed the settings. Time to call the ebay call me I think.

You have to block them in both your site preferences and exclude all international bidders in your listings. Then the only people who can bid are those with US addresses. That doesn't preclude them from messaging you. However they can't bid or buy unless they have a US shipping address. When we had PayPal managing our funds we could block buyers based on their registered country, but we no longer have that option with eBay's Managed Payment program.

it looks like you have all the blocks in place now
by the way you can ship to Vietnam for around $12 by package service.not letter service
I noitced you are offering $4 priority mail...........maybe it shoud be 1st class
one more thing..................auctions rule.........how much is that $5 silver dollar
will you sell it to me now for 7

Hi - Once again, thanks for your kind help. The reason I do priority ship is to keep it out of the hands of the post office as much as possible. In other words, the less time they have it, the less likely they are to lose it. I am willing to pay for that privilege. I have had too many problems with the post office, as if dealing with the ebay wasn't already enough.

Hi - Thank you for your kind help. However, ebay's "computer problems" are keeping me from excluding any other countries that I don't want to ship to. I just a little bit ago got off the phone with an ebay "selling specialist," & was told this. There's nothing on my end to do except cancel their bids & block them as I go & hope a foreign bidder is not the high bidder at the end. That because an offer to the next highest bidder is seldom taken, in my experience. So ebay says they will give me a refund & I can list it all over again, if that happens. Who wants to do that? Not me.

You have to start a new listing.
