If you mean fire sticks, I believe the problem is Infringement of intellectual property rights.

No, they mean the bump stocks that allow a more rapid fire than just a semi-automatic rifle like an AR15.

Why would ebay possibly not allow that to be sold to some annonymous person on the Net?

Why can't you?

Because this is America, and in America eBay gets to choose how to run their own website.

Why did eBay decide this?

No idea - but probably because the next time there is a Las Vegas or a Sutherland Springs, they don't want to see news reports saying "he bought it on eBay".

Yeah right? Especially with all the free press bump stock have received recently, you'd think those things would be flying off the shelves.... I absolutely think Ebay should allow a stranger to sell one to another stranger, both of which assure the public they are of sound mind, and just want to take out a bunch of deer or elk on the next hunting trip.

Actually, it might help to have an auction for this where it helps flush out a certain amount of "probably should be on a government watch list somewhere" people in the Ebay database.

From an internet search for the ebay policy~~fire stock ebay policy.

For safety concerns and in order to follow laws and regulations, we restrict the kinds of weapons and accessories that can be sold on eBay. Be sure to follow all laws and regulations—as well as eBay policies—before buying or selling these items.

It doesn't matter why, if eBay pulled it, I strongly suggest you don't relist it.

I disagree.  I think he should keep trying to relist it until his account is suspended.
