Hi! I have one problem and it is a big one. I sold couple of keyboards on eBay, no problem. Than, i sold one in April. Shipped it as other ones before. Money was available and i withdrawn it from PayPal and spent it on new gear that i planed to sell. Eventualy, buyer havent got his item on time and requested refund. Since i was sure that it is simple delay in delivery i assured him that he will get it. He waited a day or so and opened a case. Ebay refunded him. Now the situation is: we stayed in contact and he informed me that he got the item finaly and want to pay for it but it is not possible since there is not a single listing showing up on my eBay account. How can i resolve this situation? Can he just send me money on PayPal or i have to pay all that and then hope that my account on ebay will restore history of sold items so that he will be able to repay?

Your buyer can just send a Paypal payment to the email address shown inside the original PayPal transaction Details page.
A case has been opened and closed on your listing, so that's nothing left now to pay or repay on it.

Whenever I ship items to any customer I get a receipt from the post office that I dropped off the shipment. I keep a record of it just in case there is a delivery problem and it does not reach the buyer. I have had instances where I just dropped off a package and never got a receipt and it was not delivered. However, now I won't make that mistake again. If you ship it go the extra mile and get a receipt that you went to the USPS or UPS - then the carrier is liable not you.

YOU are still liable for refunding the buyer. And if no insurance, you won't be getting anything back from USPS or UPS either.

I would send the buyer an invoice detailing the ebay item # for repayment, rather than just asking the buyer to send money. Just keeps it all cleaner for both parties.

You've been doing this 10 years, and you still don't understand that you need proof of DELIVERY, not just proof of SHIPPING?
Please don't post incorrect info that will leave inexperienced sellers vulnerable.

You have to invoice him through Paypal. I had that happen to me, and the buyer was good enough to pay.

I applaud your buyer's integrity in wanting to re-pay. That does not always happen, I understand.
I hope you will thank him profusely for his honesty. You are very fortunate that he wants to re-pay you.
Both of you will feel good for having made the gesture.

I have no words to describe how i am gratefull to Mr. Ortiz. He will get big positive feedback and i offered him big discount on my next sale here on eBay. I am new to all this but i was sure that he will get his item because in my post office they assured me that it is only a delay so i didnt pay so much atention but i understand him, since i dont have any positive feedback yet that he needed to open case. Funny things happened when i started procedure for searching of package at post. They told me that it can take 2 months until i get any information. Thats way to long for 21. century, i think. Since case is resolved in 48 hours we sellers can only hope to have buyers like Mr. Ortiz. Thank you all for advices and support!

Well, you seem to be a very understanding person as well, to realize that the buyer was concerned due to your being a new seller with no feedback.
I applaud your sensitivity. I'm happy it worked out for you both!

Well guys, unfortunately it didnt work out to well. Mr. Ortiz, honest buyer who recieved item and sent me money did his part. I reimburse eBay for that item and paid all my fees. Now, my rating is above standard as always was and balance is $0. Problem is when i try to list item, eBay asks me to verify account with phone call. Problem is i am from Serbia bur registered on USA eBay since we dont have eBay.rs as for example Germany with eBay.de. So i cant verify my account since i dont have phone in USA, obviously. This account has $3000 limit and i can withdraw money within couple of days of shipping. If i close this account i would have to start all over again or is there any other solution, what do you guys think? I realy like doing bussines here on eBay but some things they do i really dont understand. No problems with PayPal, no problems here on eBay and they want to verify my account after months of succesfull selling, no negative response from buyers, no returns, just this problem with shipping but i paid what they gave to Mr. Ortiz and i really dont see problem for me to continue work here. Any idea?
