Selling outside eBay

Hello I'm just wondering why I'm being accused of trying to selling a item on eBay and being falsely accused I'm not the one selling it the seller offered to sell it on Facebook. The item in question is a 2018 prizm baker mayfield green pulsar autograph rookie and didn't take him up on the offer because I was waiting on my money from PayPal to pay for it.

I'm being falsely accused of something I didn't do or make a suggestion for him to do so, please look at the email exchange between us and you'll see.

You're on a members board - this is not a board Ebay regularly monitors to address buyers or sellers questions. I'm going to assume that this seller messaged you in Ebay messages about buying the card thru Facebook. Any offers, phone numbers ect exchanged thru the Emay messaging sysytem is picked up by bots that automatically issue a warning letter to both the seller and buyer even tho only one may have tried to take the sale off site. Disregard it - but stick to your guns and if he wants to make the sale - do it thru Ebay so you retain your money back guarentee.

Since he tried to take it off site - it doesn't appear that he knows the rules and as a buyer - that would bother me and I'd think twice about trusting him.

Sorry that happened to you, and I can see why you are upset.

When something with contact info or offers that try to take transactions off Ebay occur, both parties are given a warning. This goes on your record but you can call and get it noted on your account that you were not the guilty party. If there are subsequent issues, a member can receive sanctions.

Sellers have been advised to respond, I only sell and communicate on Ebay. I don't see any reason why buyers cannot respond, I only buy and communicate on Ebay. This way, Ebay can be sure to see your intentions if they need to read your messages.

Some member do this because both parties may be trying to save on fees, but buyers lose their buyer protection, and a pattern of this can lead to permanent suspension. Ebay is serious about keeping transactions on the site.
