Selling on top of a sold post

Good evening all. 
New seller here. I recently sold 2 figures and I am waiting on payment. I go to contact the buyer and he states that he wants 2 more figures on top and will wait to see if I run into any more so I can add them into the same shipping box. Totaling to 4 figures to avoid extra shipping costs. Is there a way I can have him pay  more on the same listing for 2 more figures?

No, there isn't. List the other two items as a fixed price listing so he can just purchase them outright. If you are worried that somebody else will buy hem first, then list them with a very high price, and "Best offer" so you can accept an offer from your preferred buyer.

Does that mean that you do not actually have 2 more in stock? In that case, sorry ship what you have, If you delay the shipment for any reason your metrics will take a bad hit.

Buyer has not submitted payment yet. He would like to wait to see if I can get some more tomorrow. Which I might be able to. 
It was a confusing request. But as a new seller I was trying to accommodate the buyer.

Awesome! That makes sense. As for the shipping, I am assuming I can mess with the weight when buying the shipping label. Just not sure how to get him to pay for the extra weight, unless I tell him to offer more for the other two figures to make up for the extra weight. Each figure is about 2 lbs give or take with the bubble wrap.

Yes, you can adjust the package weight when you purchase the shipping label. 

If you pack up the 4 items into their shipping box, you can enter the package weight and dimensions into the eBay shipping calculator to figure out the total cost of the purchase, IF you have the buyer's ZIP Code, then set a flat-rate increment as the shipping cost in the new listing. But it might be better to set up the new listing as if it was a regular package with its own postage; then if the buyer overpays for shipping (which he apparently is counting on) you can issue a partial refund.

But do be aware that USPS and other carriers have surcharges for packages over 1 cubic foot; the combined package might not save as much postage as you and your buyer hope.

Wouldn't it be more straight fwd to just add a surcharge (to account for the additional amt) when you put together the final invoice? Reworking the listing, adjusting weight might not be.

     If the following are the 2 that you sold they were sold on 8 October. If your buyer has not paid yet after 4 days, which is today 12 October and you have your sellers settings set to cancel for non-payment after 4 days the initial sale may get canceled before you can possibly obtain and sell the other 2 figures. 

     You cannot change the shipping amount on the first order but as others have suggested if the buyer purchases the other 2 in the allotted timeframe and the shipping charges on that order are the same the combined shipping the buyer pays  for the 2 orders should more than cover the combined shipping cost and you can refund the difference. 

     I use the auction format almost exclusively so I don't get a lot of combined shipping orders but when I have a buyer that wins multiple auctions I work to combine the shipping if it is cost effective to do so and refund the buyer any combined shipping discount.
