Kinda sounds like a Sri Lanka post, doesn't it? 😉
Today is my 22 year anniversary on ebay.
I also recently celebrated my 3000th feedback.
I'm just a part time seller with under 300 listings. It's hard work!
I can't imagine how you sellers with thousands of listings do it. I give you al the credit in the world.
I don't mean to sound like I'm on stage accepting some kind of award,
but rather than B-ing and M-ing about ebay, i would like to thank them for giving me this opportunity.
All my "extra" money comes from ebay. I live a pretty darn good life thanks to ebay.
P.S. My 3000th feedback customer was a repeat customer.
He's purchased 2 shirts from me so far. I let him pick out a 3rd shirt that I'll be sending him for free.
He was soooooo happy .... like he won the lottery. 😃

I'm with you on being here a long time... 23 years for me, but only 8 as a serious seller.
I come home from work and spend 5 hours at the computer a night listing, packing and shipping, answering questions, reviewing listings to make price changes, sending offers. And on the weekend when I have daylight, I photograph stuff, package new merchandise and organize things. I'd say I spend around 40 hours a week on eBay in addition to a 50 hour work week.
I've been using my eBay money to acquire more merchandise for the store to try and diversify a bit (and get more of what's been selling). This week I acquired some Isle of Man cat crowns because I sold out in a couple of months from my last acquisition.
Due to COVID, there's nothing fun to spend money on... no need for new clothes without going out places, not eating out in restaurants very often, not taking vacations, not getting to go to social dances with my partner... we cook at home, wear comfy clothes and entertain on streaming TV. Might as well buy more inventory if I can. The inventory will eventually sell... admittedly I made mistakes at first in choices of what to buy, but I'm doing better.
I also have a hoard of stamps to deal with (if memory serves there are 8 outstanding stamp albums to deal with), which will be a winter thing, as I need to sell more stamps or organize and make more room for new stamp lots.
