I still haven't internalized it, but my brother died recently.
He had quite a few collectible items in different categories. They don't have much value individually, but collectively they can be worth a few hundred dollars. I have so much stuff myself and his stuff is California-I live in Chicago. Who was the smart one? My sister-in-law will be the one dealing with listing the items, blah blah blah.
They used to have "Surprise Boxes" in categories. This would have been a way for us to sell items in quantity for less than individual pricing (for buyer) yet not have to just throw them away.
Surprise Boxes under Vintage and Collectible seem to be a thing of the past.
Any ideas?
We want easy. We don't need to sell them for as much as they sell individually. We want to sell a bunch at once.

The easiest way is to sell as a lot to a local collector. But no, you have to tell exactly what is in each lot and what condition. No surprise lots-those were not good.
I'm sorry, I wish I had something more helpful to say. Take care please.

@mitzi531 Your brother would want his collectibles to go to another collector, that's what all collectors want. You can simply list them as a lot in an auction. Collectors are constantly looking for the items they collect. They will see your listing and hopefully it will get into a bidding war, which will only increase the bids for you. Collectors will want the lot because then they can pull out items they don't have and flip the remainder to get back their money. It's a win/win for both. Make sure you charge correctly for shipping, get your items packaged in advance so you know the weight/dimensions properly. Best of luck to you....

You can certainly bundle them-- but you have to photograph and describe exactly what is in each bundle.
And pay attention to shipping costs.
There is also charitable donations-- which I understand will give your SIL a tax credit.

eBay discourages selling mystery boxes.
"Listings that offer grab bags, "Box Breaks", or similar products must identify all the contents"

I suggest that your sister in law just put it all into one lot and list it on in some non-ebay way with a title that just says something like "attention ebay resellers".
It isn't worth it for a non-seller who is likely also mourning to try to get top dollar for only a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff.
