Selling fees

sold my laptop and they charged me insane fees exactly $125 dollars. Will never use this site again, horrible experience. And then they have NO WAY to contact customer service there is NO phone number provided for this site. Plus it was very hard to leave this review they tried stopping me from posting this several times.

I don't think any seller here is really happy about the selling fees, for one or more reasons often stated, self included.  You could sell it on amazon for more but their fees would most likely be a higher percentage than ebay.  You could sell on mercari or etsy or bonanza but probably have to reduce the asking price.  You could try selling around your local area on craigslist for free but probably not at an ebay price, and those folks flake on you quite often so there will be a lot of time wasted.

You'd have to post the breakdown for specifics.

The fee is on the total amount the buyer paid, including tax and shipping. So unless you charged over $200 for shipping, $95 doesn't correlate to 13.25 percent. 

Three other things can affect that total percentage.

1) Some categories are a teeny bit higher, like books. That would not move the needle here.

2) Promoted listings - If you 'promoted' that listing (they push it pretty heavily), even inadvertently, you pay an additional fee.

3) If your seller rating has dropped to 'below standard', you are assessed an additional (I believe its 6% extra). fee. Slow shipping or or canceling orders will do this very quickly. This is automated. Your feedback shows some buyers speaking of slow shipping or non delivery. So I am going to lean towards this.
