Selling fees when the item hasn't sold

My item marked as sold but the buyer messaged and said they no longer wanted it. Ebay charged me 25 pounds for this, how do I get this back?

Cancel the transaction, but be sure to choose the reason as "Buyer requested."

Since the buyer told you they didn't want it, you can cancel the transaction using 'buyer  requested' as a reason.  eBay will refund your final value fees.  You can find the cancellation option if you click the drop down menu  next to the item in your sold history.
