You are a new seller

You are a target for nefarious buyers...

A) Do Not Stop your auction. You will be penalized (you have bids)

A buyer offering you more than the existing price is a good sign you are going to be a victim of a scammer......

(not always, but I'll take the odds)

Let the auction play out and follow the instructions from ebay TO THE LETTER!

Wait until ebay says to ship the item after the close of the auction...If it sells over 750 get Signature Confirmation (required)

Do not engage with any "buyers" via messages..

Ignore the message.   It is a scammer trying to gyp you out of the item.   Always let auctions run their course.

If you end the auction early, you bidders will become bitter.   😉

If they are asking you message them via text or off the ebay platform, this is a scam attempt.  Ignore them, let the auction runs it's course and block them as well.   They are looking to steal your item as well as your money.  Don't fall for it.  Keep your eyes wide as well,  new sellers are prime targets for scammers.   As a new seller you should really consider just fixed price, buy it now with immediate payment checked off.  Also don't post the best offer option or you will continue to be harassed by these types.  Accumulate some feedback and put the auctions on the back burner for now.  Looks like you have a lot of bidders with little or no feedback, that's a sign too in many cases.

Good luck and happy selling!

Invite the offerer to bid and tell him he may win at less than his offer.

He won't.

He won't bid if he is a scammer.

He won't win if he is a lowballer.

Best wishes.

Do not reply to message. Block buyer from bidding and forget about it. Let the auction continue.

That doesn't make sense to offer you more, when he could just buy it at your buy it now price. The reason is that he doesn't want to actually buy it, he wants to scam you. Ignore any attempts to communicate off eBay.

Others have already provide good advice. Regardless of what the laptop sells for I would require signature at delivery and also make sure you fully insure the item. While most transactions on eBay take place without any problems you are a pretty new seller and you are also listing a high target item for the scammers. When the sale completes if anything seems odd or strange return to this board before you ship the item. Once it is out of your possession problems are difficult to correct.

One of your bidders has 0 feedback but the current high bidder has a good feedback history.
