We have a item that's has been listed for awhile, and originally sold 5 pretty quickly when we first listed. I was just comparing prices today, to see if it was possibly the issue. We are either at or slightly below other selling the same item in the same new condition. When we listed it, it was actually $10 more with volume pricing with up to 20% off. My question is, so we simply relist with the same pricing we had before or should we just drop the price? We need to get these item gone because they take up alot of space.

Try dropping the prices in increments and see if you get any bites. Good Luck

Without doing actual research, when I checked the first couple pages your items look like they are priced equivalent to Home Depot. Ebay buyers expect to pay less otherwise they would just go to Home Depot. Remember also that if they do go to Home Depot they save because there is no shipping cost.

Send discount offer to anybody watching them.
Promote them a couple percentage points higher than ebay suggests.
And run a discount sale.

A well experienced buyer for a regional retail chain taught me a lesson many years ago.
In my own experience, this has proved correct.
"Your first markdown is your best markdown".
Properly chosen it will move more inventory in a shorter time than you will ever move with incremental markdowns. And may be the only way to move a significant overstock.

There are a few items that are equivalent to home depot pricing, but with volume pricing enabled. All our listing, except for 2 are with free shipping. The items that have the equivalent home depot price had been listed cheaper originally, and never sold, so we increased the prices of those listings, and they started selling. The listing in question is actually more then 35% cheaper then home depot with free shipping included.
