Selling Using Screenshots or Screen Grabs

I've bought things on websites (like Etsy and Facebook marketplace) that I haven't used and would like to resell on ebay. The photos are good, but when I try to reuse them (without having to retake all of the photos), ebay won't allow me to use them because they are not big enough. Is there any way around this?

They are better than many of the photos I see on ebay. I tried saving the photos from .png files to jpeg files, but that didn't work. I'm thinking I may have to take new photos with my phone from the screen of my computer which will be higher resolution but will look worse. These photos, for various reasons (the model, the size of the objects, etc.) are better than I can do. Thank you!

Get some daylight bulbs if your lighting is bad ... or take your pictures outside ... use a plain white sheet as a background.

Change the settings on your camera app from "auto" to professional (or whatever). Turn off your flash.

Take your own pictures....show the item from every angle.

The longer you do it, the better you get the hang of it.

Don't use anybody else's pics but your own.

Thanks much. I usually do take my own photos, but I'm not a model and clothes look great on a pretty human (I have a dress form for photos), also I have a bed spread way bigger than my own bed. Not every piece of clothing fits on my dress form. Some photos I want to try to save and use. This would save me a lot of time sometimes.

I really want to know if there is a technical way to do so or not?

I "recapture" my photos to use over.  On etsy, you need to use your "store view" and the zoom feature before saving the picture.  This puts them in the original size to save as with a new name.

So far, I have not figured out a simplle way to do the ones on 'market plcee' or other facebook lisings. Saving them as shown they are too small. I use a photo program to "resize" them after 'saving as' from the website.

Hope this helps.

Do not use other people's photos.  It is tacky, rude, and likely against the law.

If they are not your photos, you are not allowed to legally use them.

Especially if the clothes are on a model. You do not have the rights to use anybody else's photographs, unless you get legal permission to do so.

Take your own photos.

OK, everybody, got it. I've bought and sold on ebay (for 20) and etsy (for 10) years and I've never done it before. I bought a one-of-a-kind vintage shirt which was worn in a photo by the woman who sold it's daughter (with her head not showing). And, I have a bedspread way bigger then my bed taken on someone else's bed with a pattern too large to show unless I put it on the floor. Don't worry. Thanks for your input!
