Is it permissable to sell a postcard containing the URL address to a web page offering a free media download? It appears Ebay policy would make it impossible to send the link via email to the the buyer. Therefore, I would like to sell a post card with the address and send it snail mail to the buyer.

You’re welcome! Please don’t think everyone is against you & wants you to fail—no onehere does! I think it’s safe to say that everyone on this board wants all sellers to succeed and be successful eBay sellers. And that is why most will not hesitate to tell you when something is a bad idea. Good luck!!

I think you need to read this.
- Listings for compilation or informational items containing any cross-category information
- Combining a compilation or informational item as a bonus item with any other listing
- Listings containing any specific brand names or keywords unless the listing is offering the brand-name product. (See also our search and browse manipulation policy)
- Listings containing excessive keywords to describe the contents of a compilation or informational item
- Offering information on how to either purchase specific items or receive them for free outside of eBay
- Listings which include web addresses or links (for example, www.gotomyownwebsite.com) that enable buyers to purchase items outside of eBay. (See also our links policy)
As to that listing, what about the fact the BIN isn't the real cost?

Yes, that and it should be listed in the classified everything else section on ebay.

Yep, I forgot that. Too many things to remember them all.

A little off topic in a way.
I had copies of two maintenance manuals.
They were online for free, but PDF files are hard to read, and mechanics want paper.
When I got a sale, I would take my copies to staples and make a copy.
20 bucks to copy, listed at 40 bucks on ebay.
Not great money, and not fast sellers, but easy money.
