In terms of the timing of listings (for seller with some, but not hundreds of items to list), I have heard that spreading them out over days, rather than listing them all at the same time, can help with their invisibility and ranking in the displayed items. If true, does it matter whether you list, for example, 14 items on a Monday, but schedule them to have 2 start per day over the following week, versus actually listing 2 items per day for a week? Thanks!

I think you're just hearing internet eBay "algorithm lore".
I've seen no conclusive proof that delaying a listing you have ready to list is an improvement. If anything, that advice is bad because you're potentially forgoing the next hungriest buyer who will buy from another seller by withholding your listing going live.
If you have listings ready to go live, there is no better time to list them than RIGHT NOW.
The only time I might use the schedule feature would be if it were an auction-style listing and I wanted to control the time the auction closed (say 6PM PDT). If you are using fixed price listings, don't use the schedule feature.

IMO you should be listing every single day and even relisting old stuff every single day. Doing that will attract buyers saving you as a favorite seller because they know they will be seeing new stuff. It will also keep your items from dropping down the search list. Ebay's program wants to see the sellers with the best sell-through and the most activity. Also those items with zero views need relisted with lowered prices. You have to keep up with everything you have listed daily. Do not list 14 items then sit for a week doing nothing. You only have two things listed. If you really want to sell on Ebay you should have at least 100 items listed.

Hi there!
I do not think there are any good times or bad times to list anything. I list when it is good for me.
Stuff stays long enuf to give folks an opportunity to decide.
However, I would not recommend listing more than fifty items at one time, unless you have help for the packing and shipping part. Listing a lot at one time sounds great, they are end at the same time also.
