I had listed two of something using the quantity item under the same listing. A buyer bought one. The listing moved to the Sold page even though I still had “1” left. And when I went to “sell similar item,” the posting was for two of the same item again.
Did I do something wrong?

Sell Similar will ALWAYS show the original QTY of the original listing.
That said, if you still had 1 item remaining it should NOT have moved to the Sold section.

The OP sold one item out of two the one the OP sold will be in sold awaiting shipping and the unsold quantity will still be listed with a quantity of one available.

That is not supposed to happen.
My conclusion:
You are mistaken -or- it's a ebay glitch

Yes, the item does move to the “sold” items, but it remains an active listing, with one remaining. You should have just left it as it was.
here is an example from my sold page - shows an item with zero remaining, another with one remaining.

No glitch (which is a bad term for poor programming). This happens to us all the time. The other problem we have is adding more quantity to a listing. We have to check a couple of time to be sure the inventory did not decrease or double increase due to the addition. Just poor eBay, many tickets to IT no resolve.

That's what I was thinking but they said the entire listing went to solds?
