Your time may come 😁 (and mine)
May, or may not be the case with the OP, but we read many a tale of "eBay holding funds while the account is reviewed", and posts that say that is a "random" thing that we eventually "all" may/will be subjected to. I of course have nothing to back up what some are stating about "all".
As some have suggested, Tony may just be getting the new /infrequent seller treatment.

Did you take a break and just start backup selling ? If so, Ebay considers you a new seller regradless of how many years you've sold. Did you update to the more recent payment system marketplace ? If so they have to verify all your info before you get paid ? Did you list a bunch of high priced items ? If so they limit sellers on doing that because there are too many scammers out there ?

Like the other person stated, if you took a break from selling, you are considered a new seller. Did you join Managed Payments? Did you send ebay your social security number and a valid ID? Is your bank account verified? You must do all of these things before you see a nickel. It's been this way for at least 2 years. If you failed to read that (at least 10) emails that ebay has sent out at least 2 years ago, then that is your fault.
The name on the ebay account, the social security and the bank account must be identical too. You can't be Lisa Jones and Elizabeth Jones . Finally, we do NOT want to hear that it's not safe for ebay to get your social security number. Your cell phone company has it , why shouldn't ebay ? They are the ones that will be sending you the money that you earned here.

Just to be clear - the OP is registered in the UK - not US.

Why are they holding your money and not mine?

Agreed.
But there's usually a reason, whatever that reason may be.
I highly doubt that ebay does it at random for "no reason" as some sellers claim.
But who knows? Maybe they use a dartboard? 😉

You can find the explanation on this page:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold/payments-hold?id=4816
I have linked to the UK policy pages since you are in the UK (it's essentially the same as the policy on eBay.com).

This is nothing more than eBay covering their own gluteus maximus rather than putting their own funds at risk. I have not yet had this happen to me but if and when it does I will end every listing I have on eBay until they finish their whatever they are doing. There is no sense adding more funds to the pot they are holding and there have been postings on this forum of the timeline for this process being extrapolated in some cases.
No other ecommerce site does this and it has been one of the biggest downfalls of managed payments.

It shows you've only sold three item, so you're a new seller.
New sellers will have their funds held and that's not new.

How do I know why they haven’t put your money on hold but they have mine, what a stupid response to a question, if you don’t want to help buddy don’t comment

Let me just start with, calm down there’s no need to be so angry because I’m calling a selling platform out you use. I have now resolved this issue with eBay, and it was EBAY NOT ME that was at fault so thank you for you input but everything was correct on my part, eBay make mistakes you know so don’t be so quick to assume, it’s the sellers fault next time,

Thank you this problem is now resolved, I appreciate the information though
