I imagine this is put there by ebay.  Someone's math is wrong.

Probably not. And it is. But what's the price when you buy 4 or more? $28.45?

There's only 1 to 3.  And neither of them are 5%.   *shrug*

No it wouldn’t. Maybe it’s legit because of the verbiage “up to”.

I tried it on one of mine thinking maybe it starts at 5% with the up to. But "up to 5%" wouldn't even show until I changed 4 or more from 4% to 5%. Weird you're not seeing something under quantity though.

I think your screenshot is cut off. It shows:

Buy 1 full price

Buy 2 at 2% off

Buy 3 at 3% off

But there should be something underneath that that says:

Quantity [box to  fill in quantity] 4 or more for $28.45/ea

Would it make me buy more? Not necessarily. If I planned to buy 4 would I be happy to save $1.50 per item? Yep. Six bucks is six bucks.

Look at it like a credit card that gives you cash back. Sometimes it's a measly 2%, but that 2% adds up in volume.

Well, good to know they fixed something at least.  All last week the option to include this was absent at the bottom of listing frame and appeared as 2 broken links.

when it comes to descriptive words such as .........some.........many........most ..........majority, ebay has no sense of what is going on.they just toss out ambiguous catch pharases

Have wondered for some time why e-bay starts their discounting at 5%.  Not much of a discount to get a buyer interested.

Maybe if it was an item I use every day like a Bic Lighter.  but most of everything else, Probably not.  Good luck if you give it a whirl.
