Seller with more than month delivery time

I'm not going to name names. But there is a seller on eBay who is fully incapable of satisfying orders. eBay seems okay with allowing this seller, who posts several million items per week, to shift delivery dates on a whim. Meanwhile, this seller is posting new items daily and getting pats on the back for fast delivery.

For those of us who use eBay as investment, it isn't possible for us to have money tied up until a seller feels like getting around to shipping our items. The main issue here is that the seller is allowed to change their own delivery dates which prevents me from opening up a claim for an item that is not delivered.

What happens if I cancel all the orders that aren't going to get delivered until the end of May? Am I the one who gets the red mark on my account? It's a lot of money to have tied up for over a month. I feel like I'm owed interest. Please advise!

This sounds like c o m c. There's not much you can do about it other than to try to avoid buying from them and share your experiences with others. I know that doesn't help much but there's always this... Go Bills!!

Sounds like a seller trying to hide pre sales that are exceeding the 30 day rule with in stock items as well to keep the positives up.

Are you saying that the delivery date you saw on the listing when you made the purchase is now different? When you buy an item, the expected delivery date  on the listing  can't be changed by the seller after the purchase.  Are you looking at the delivery date in your purchase history?  If you are looking  at the listing itself, the delivery date shows when delivery will be if you made the purchase that day.  You should be able to open an inr claim the day after the latest delivery date that you were given when you made the purchase.

When I shop on eBay, the first thing I check after I look at the price, is the last estimated delivery date.

If that date is too far into the future for my purposes, I simply hit the back arrow and find another listing.

You can't do the same? Also, that date is more or less semi-written in stone.  During the Covid-19 crisis, I think most buyers are giving their purchases a little more time to be delivered.  The seller cannot change that date after the item has been purchased.  When a buyer opens an item not received case, the case is evaluated on the estimated delivery date as seen in the listing.

There were two delivery dates. One listed on my purchase list and another listed on the item itself. If you look at the item page, the delivery date was well into May. Essentially, the item had two different delivery dates.

eBay regularly changes delivery dates. For instance, I have a 15-day handling time on all my items. When one sells and eBay gets paid, they post an estimated delivery date (usually two weeks in the future) and posts a note on the order page "Paid--Ship Now". Yeah, sure!

When buying the shipping label, USPS lists an expected delivery date on the label page. HOWEVER, when the item is first scanned by the PO, eBay ignores the USPS date and changes the order page delivery date to whatever they think it ought to be. Often the date is unreasonably optimistic and ignores variables like type of service, seasonal slowdowns and PO delays. That's why so many sellers got burnt with INR's last holiday season.

I don't ship till eBay's payout hits my bank. No complaints from customers as yet. If eBay doesn't like it? Well like my father used to say, "That's just too %@$# bad."

In the listing where you purchased your item, you saw an estimated delivery date.  Evidently that date was okay with you or you would not have made the purchase, right?

That date cannot be changed after the purchase.  If/when that date arrives and you don't have your item, you have 30 days to open an item not received case.

Please read the MBG.   You don't need to message the seller or to contact eBay.  The process will be automatic.

That seller happens to be located in China so the protracted delivery times are understandable. However, you should also note that the sellers feedback is less than impressive. Not somebody I would order from in fact I am surprised the account is still active.
