I just realized this morning that when I search for anything, I no longer see the names of the store or the seller or the user ID. That explains an awful lot when I have customers who tell me "I had no idea I bought 2 or more items from you." I never connected those dots. It seems to be hit or miss when I search on my computer but shopping on my phone is 100% an anonymous shopping experience. Having nothing to do with promoted listings, btw.
So why is ebay pushing me to spend time & money on my "brand" when nobody sees it anyway?

Whether seller info shows in search depends on how you search.
Using a desktop browser, when searching using a keyword, I see seller info. If you do not, check your Search Customize menu to make sure the appropriate option is checked. That menu can be reached from your search results page by clicking on the icon that lets you switch between List or Gallery view.
If you are browsing a category, seller info may not be shown. You can get around that by searching using the category name as your search keyword.
Using a mobile browser or the app, what info you see may depend on whether you use List or Gallery view to view your search results, with List view tending to provide more info.

You are SO helpful with platform features. I don't think I was even aware of the ability to change what shows in the results like that.
To the OP @rockcitycollectibles here is a visual step-by-step.

Understood and helpful thank you!
But I am using the app and I looked all over the filters and views and don't see an option to see Seller Info. I am assuming that isn't something buyers are concerned about when shopping on their phones.

I am using the app
To see seller usernames or store names in search you may need to use a mobile browser in classic or desktop mode rather than the eBay app.

There is also a way to filter search results so that you don't see any listings by a particular seller (or mulitple sellers). It takes a bit of setup but once it's done you can make that a Saved Search and use it every time if you want.
I do most of my sourcing here and there's one particular seller who utterly bombards the category with duplicate listings, so my SS excludes her.
