I shall simply relay to you the pleasures of this 'transaction':
Oct 16 2017: I open a not as described return:
Item was described as in BU condition and the photos for the items were very blurry. When this coin arrived it still had wet polish on its reverse which I had to rub off with a hankerchief. The coin has clearly been damaged to make it look better than it is. Because of this I cannot trust any of the coins sent to me and the other 2 do not fill me with confidence, both being quite worn for the condition stated. I don t know if the seller is personally responsible for this or if they are just nieve and selling in good faith, but I didn t pay over £60 for coins with fresh polish all over them.

Hi, sorry to hear you're upset about this. Unfortunately I'm not lying, and I've uploaded a picture of the handkerchief with the wet polish on it. Further, the coins have already been posted back to you. Further still, the 1967 had some quite severe damage to the obverse which was not indicated by the blurry photos and most certainly rendered it a long way from UNC. In this circumstance, I'm sorry, but there's no doubt in my mind that something fishy occurred. I can't help your reaction, but since it was an auction, you can always offer them to the next bidder, they might not mind having damaged coins. If you want to be difficult about it that's your choice, but the coins are already in the post to you.

Oct 19 2017: I reply to these messages:
Hi again. Your coins should be back with you by now as they were posted on monday morning. I'm not entirely sure why you didn't want them back, but they're back with you now.
Oct 19 2017: The seller responds
Oct 19 2017: I reply
Hi again. Are you honestly telling me that you have not yet received the coins back?
Oct 19 2017: Seller persists
Oct 19 2017: I reply:
Hi again, They were sent monday morning, you will have received them by now. But thanks for clarifying your unrepentant stance. As you say, nothing really to do now until the 25th I guess. What a mountain you're making out of something so easy! Oh well, each to their own.
Oct 19 2017: Seller responds
Oct 20 2017: I reply:
Hi again, the coins were posted on monday morning, you will have received them by now. I can only repeat, why don't you want them back? Why are you doing all this to yourself?
Oct 25 2017 - request ebay to step in & leave negative feedback.
Nov 01 2017: Seller sends me a message through regualr ebay mail
Nov 01 2017: I reply:
Hi mr. Criminal, thanks for sending me a message to rub in the fact that you're so dishonest you are quite happy to keep the money and the coins, you're a gem, where would ebay be without golden paragons of honesty such as yourself. I mean, you sell using fraudulent photos and descriptions, refuse refunds because you don't even like your own merchandise, lie like a trooper to your customers when they complain, waste ebay's time by inventing a false problem, choose to play games rather than act morally, lie about receiving the coins back, keep both the money and coins and then persist in your lying, and now you feel the need to return to the scene of the crime and boast about how you're going to get away with it all without any repercussions. What can I say? Seek professional help?
I don't post this as a request for advice. I post this to exemplify how all this bleating about "seller protection" is merely permitting the good ol' bad day of ebay to return where sellers can treat customers like dirt without any consequences.

If you returned without tracking, you don't have a leg to stand on.

What does "seller protection" have to do with this? I'm not defending the seller at all when I say this but if the pictures were that bad you should have asked for better pictures and then moved on if the seller wouldn't provide them or they showed the "polish". You are your best protection. There are things you can do to protect yourself. That's all I'm saying.

I can not change what transpired with this transaction, but here is some advice in the future. If at anytime you believe a seller has been/ is less than honest with you, you should put your guard up, and having your guard up would have directed you to send the coin back with tracking (proof).
As a seller, I am surprised to see a buyer, unfamiliar with eBay's Moneyback guarantee, or a least a buyer who did not make contact with eBay to seek direction on how to get your money back. As a buyer, eBay would have blasted faster than a rocket ship to tell you: open a return claim for not as described, the seller will be required to pay for return shipping, you will be sent a return shipping label, return the coin, and you will be refunded.
If you sent the coin back, but you did not get tracking, that is a real problem that will prevent you from getting help from eBay; however, if what you say is true: You can get with Paypal and start a chargeback on your credit card. You can send proof of your messages to the Paypal and/or your credit card company.
In the future, if you have a problem with a seller and you get a feeling the seller is not be upfront/honest, always contact eBay to find out what your rights are as a buyer. Sellers encourage buyers to work it out with the seller first, but, you should always know what your rights . Despite the buyer having a no returns policy, that seller's policy is trumped by eBay's moneyback guarantee.
Good luck

Paypal and Credit card want proof coin was returned with tracking as well. Without that, you will be SOL.
